Overview of my Role
The constant message in the client brief was to rethink the old website with the guidelines of the new design manifesto created in early 2022.
Despite being an Architecture Design Intern, I got to work on the project with AREA 17 from the Design Systems to the final visuals and content.
This approach helped the me understand every aspect of User Interface during the process.

Previous CannonDesign Website:
Started with understanding client requirements & following the PRD for the project. The idea of the website was to create intrigue within the viewer’s mind. In comparision to the previous website- check it out in the prototype above.
Interacted with proxy users to understand the target audience
To craft a user-centric solution, it was necessary to understand users. To achieve this, we conducted user interviews & desk research to understand users in a better way.
Real users were not feasible, so we conducted interviews with proxy users who shared similarities with real ones- former clients, current employees, etc.
After some thought & consideration, we concluded on these 2 potential user personas:

Drafted a design system to ensure uniform & seamless interaction throughout a product
Once the design style had been confirmed, I worked under the User Interface a team to create flexible Design System before diving into the final design.
This system ensured initial consistency throughout the product by pre-defining basic elements such as colours, fonts, icons, styles, etc.
The design system was flexible enough to expand or contract as needed over time during the design process.

Presenting final designs: The goals we were trying to achieve through design was:
Easy adoption
Since this was a one-of-a-kind website, we focused on designing an intuitive interface, for viewers to remember after closing the website.
Familiarity
As a way to improve adoption, we decided to keep the design system familiar for the users while still maintaining its uniqueness.
Better User Engagement
Added interactive components, motions, and visual delights to create an immersive experience, encouraging users to explore and enjoy the product.

Search Filters and Content Curation
Sorted through thousands of documents in the Company archive to help prepare a 'Perspectives' section and add relevant sections to the 'Capabilities' banner. Also interviewed chief employees in the firm to edit their content pages in the 'People' section.
Iconography
Followed a highly minimalistic approach to provide multiple iterations for icons representing Office Locations, Social Media links and buttons
Forms
Researched best practices for Sign Up forms, RFP forms, Media Enquiry Forms, and Reaching Out forms (to senior employees) to implement simple user experience design, in accordance with the constant tone of minimalism.
