Product Design Intern
Background
Aconomy Marketplace is a Real World Asset (RWA) trading online marketplace that specializes in the minting of physical in-demand items such as rare watches, sculptures, artworks, collectibles, etc.
Since this is the first product I worked on when I joined Pandora Finance (Aconomy Foundation), I worked tirelessly to sharpen my workflow and allowed my team to depend on me during tight deployment deadlines.
Design Iterations
Since the Design System was roughly established, there was an ease to the experimentation of UI frameworks. However, since the feedbacks from users and stakeholders were periodically demanding drastic rethinking, certain discretion was used.
My role was to look at the essential user flows that needed streamlining. This including all types of onboarding processes, transactions processes and smaller 'additional' features. Here's how I worked with other teams parallelly to arrive at our launched iterations.

Getting Started with Aconomy
Objectives:
→ Decrease the average user onboarding time to 18 seconds from 35 seconds.
→ Make the first Asset Creation as accessible as possible for new users.
→ Introduce Validation and Collection Creation as the next steps after the first minted Asset.
Process: Using standardization as priority, I compared log-ins and starting forms in traditional online marketplaces to understand our improvement areas.
Takeaways:
→ Despite multiple innovative designs, we had to cut down on some dynamic approaches, due to user confusion during the first feedback.
→ I understood a great deal about the correlation between simple UI and good UX.

Buying, Selling and Swapping Assets
Objectives:
→ Emulating a Buying & Selling process that fits within the realm of ease for any user.
→ Experimenting with swap requests and acceptances until a satisfactory flow is achieved.
Process: After narrowing down the scope of all transactional processes, we broke down every aspect that needed to be simplified.
Takeaways:
→ There can be a higher focus on directing a user to 'Swap' assets, as it may be a foreign concept to some.
→ Since Buying & Selling are common marketplace features, the choices were endless.
Auctioning off & Bidding Assets
Objectives:
→ Create a framework that allows users to auction their NFTs (a popular route after minting rare assets)
→ Make the bIdding process as easy as simply buying an NFT.
Process: Designing with 'time' as the main factor- main efforts went into decreasing opportunities for user dissatisfaction.
Takeaways:
→ It was imperative to understand how short the 'placing of the bid' must be to not let any delays cause issues during high-stakes auctions.
→ The accepting of bid needs improvements, as we still haven't accounted for situations with 100+ bid requests and there needs to be a limit to how many of the 'highest bids' will be directly visible on the NFT page.
